If you listen to contemporary jazz, chances are, you’ve heard Brian Simpson. With his current album It’s All Good, you’re about to hear a lot more. A longtime studio musician, musical director, and touring keyboardist to stars as diverse as Janet Jackson and Dave Koz, he's stepping into the spotlight and putting the jazz scene on notice. With his debut on Rendezvous Entertainment, Brian has created a jazz album in every sense of the term, compelling from beginning to end, varied in its smooth melodies and bebop swing, and rewarding in its tribute to both contemporary and traditional jazz improvisation.

For the past few years and nearly 10 sailings, Brian has also served as the Music Director for Jazz Cruises’ smooth jazz programs. Brian is solely responsible for, or intimately involved with, the coordination of our performances, the assignments of the musicians and the arrangement of our all star shows and other special events. Brian is clearly a very valuable member of the Jazz Cruises’ team, apart from his mastery as a performer.
