Nathaniel Kearney, Jr., the southern gentleman, is a native of Halifax, NC. In this small town he grew up listening to Gospel music…mainly quartet groups. As time went on he began listening to and performing all genres of music.
With the desire to take his career to the next level, he moved to LA in 2009.
Currently, Nathaniel is the bassist for Smooth Jazz superstar Brian Culbertson.
He’s performed and recorded with a Who’s Who of Gospel and Secular artists. These artists include Grammy Award winners Mary Mary, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and Smokie Norful…Multi Platinum selling R&B artists Taio Cruz, Avant, Kelly Price and JODECI…Chuck Loeb, Eric Darius, Stellar Award winners Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers (serving as Musical Director) Bishop T.D. Jakes, Marvin Sapp, Tramaine Hawkins, and many others.
Nathaniel has also been blessed to perform at The White House, make numerous TV appearances (CBS Saturday Morning Show, The Monique Show, Lopez Tonight, & The Ellen Show), and even have a small role in the film “First Sunday”.
