As an artist who appeals to broader audiences. Slocumb just completed his acting debut in the major motion picture, Tyler Perry’s, Meet the Browns. Slocumb's television appearances include: Comic’s Unleashed, Host of Gospel Dream as seen on; Gospel Music Channel, HBO's Def Comedy Jam [yes still clean], The UNCF telethon, BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, The Montel Williams Show, the NAACP Image Awards and twice the host of the Stellar Awards.

Slocumb has added to his credits television creator and co-producer of Comedy Quickies!  for Gospel Music Channel. This new, original short-form comedy series, highlights the funniest clean comedians on the circuit. Comedy Quickies! will run throughout the day on GMC, with family-friendly stand-up, sketches and clips from the comedy scene.

Slocumb clean and professional style allows him to serve as host for events such as, Essence Music Festival, NAACP National Convention, 100 Blackmen of America and a host of other medium to small hosting duties.

Slocumb can currently be seen as "Clyde the Slide", the stuck in the 70's member of The Hi-Tops, on the national syndicated hit sitcom, "The Steve Harvey Show." The success of these events urged Warner Brothers to sign him to record his live comedy performance "Laugh Yo' Self 2 Life," which remains a hot seller in record and video outlets throughout the world.

Jonathan, an Atlanta native and Los Angeles resident boldly affirms: "I will not compromise just to be recognized." As a trailblazer, Slocumb is the first African-American comedian to be warmly received by churches to share his gift of laughter with worldwide congregations of varied denominations. He has recently joined George Wallace and others in Bill Duke's film "Living in the Spirit Revue," a documentary which focuses on quality family entertainment.
