Tom Braxton

An original and beloved performer on The Smooth Jazz Cruise since its inception in 2005, Tom Braxton returns yet again to showcase his medley of jazz, Latin, funk and R&B sounds on the soprano, alto and tenor saxophones. Debuting on the alto sax in the sixth grade, Tom’s two decades on the professional smooth jazz circuit have resulted in eight solo albums; tours throughout the U.S. and overseas to the Netherlands, Indonesia and Uganda, among other destinations abroad; and spots on the jazz charts of Billboard, RadioWave,, Groove Jazz Music, Capital Jazz Radio and Amazon. Also a natural on the piano, keyboard and flute, the Texas native wears the hats of composer, producer and arranger in many of his endeavors. Following 17 years alongside bassist Wayman Tisdale, Tom’s accomplished career has taken him on tours with Earl Klugh and Keiko Matsui and placed him on stages with Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Peter White, Brian Culbertson, Marcus Miller, Candy Dulfer, Warren Hill, Bob James, George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Jeff Golub, Norman Brown, Sheila E., Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross and Phillip Bailey.
