Jazz keyboardist and Grammy award-winning producer, George Duke is a living legend. The San Francisco/Bay Area native began his solo career in 1976, which included success with a series of fusion-oriented LP's, such as his debut CBS LP, From Me To You. In 1978, the funk-flavored sound of Reach for It, turned gold and reached the top of the charts.

In the late 1970's, George turned to producing albums. His breakthrough came when "Sukiyaki," a single covered by A Taste of Honey, jumped to Number 1 on the pop, adult contemporary, and R&B charts, selling over 2 million copies. Tutu, by Miles Davis with selections produced by George, won a Grammy in 1986. Since then, he's worked with many accomplished artists, including Najee, George Howard, the Winans, Anita Bryant, Rachelle Ferrell, Marilyn Scott, & Natalie Cole, among many others. 2006 looks to be another busy year, with George promoting his new CD, scoring another movie for director Ernest Dickerson and a much anticipated reunion with Stanley Clarke.
